When somebody dies, most people have no idea what to say. Some things are very helpful and comforting. Others leave me scratching my head. Still others leave my angry enough to punch someone. So here are just a few things that people have said to me. I'll try to keep this an on-going list:
He's in a better place.
He was too good for this world.
God is testing you.
It was meant to be.
It's something that you have to overlook.
This happens in my family all the time.
At least you can have another one.
God works in mysterious ways.
