My Child is "Rapeable?"

For a message I wrote on the "STOP the "sids is funny because babies DIE" page", urging people to report the page and not engage in any commentary, someone wrote the following to me, regarding Iris:

"Rebecca, you may very well have the ugliest child ever spawned. I say that with the utmost sincerity. By the way, go ahead and set all of your pics to private. I already shared this pic about 3 hours ago and it's already all across the internet. But I don't know, some guys on 4chan seem to think it's "a horrible abomination but still rapeable". Smile Becky, your kid's famous ."

I only wish I was joking.

Clearly, the message was meant to provoke me. I chose not to reply. Instead, I took a webshot and reported it. If the person lived in the United States, I would report it to the police. I've never done that before, but I imagine it could be done.

Reprehensible.

I'm so, so sorry.

I remember another bereaved parent having a phrase for this. I think I will borrow it.

It was: they are utter, utter fucking cunting twunts. I don't think that normally add much, but in this instance it is perfect.

I am so sorry you had to deal with this. Iris is a gorgeous little girl and a pure delight. It is horrible to hear these threats from these vile people. I doubt they have distributed the photo. Telling you that they've done it, is low effort and sufficiently upsetting.

Have a wine - and please don't go back to that horrible site. Much love to you xx

I am sorry. That is actually sort of frightening and very creepy. There are just people out there that are effing nuts.

That is disgusting, and indeed reprehensible. I am truly sorry that you have had to deal with this. I wonder if there is some legal mechanism you could use to respond to this, even though the sources aren't in the U.S.;? It may be more trouble than it's worth, but I am shuddering just thinking about how terrible these people are.
